Trained in Swedish and Thai Massage at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing in Culver City, he is also a graduate of legendary yoga teacher John Friend and City Yoga's Anusara Teacher Training and Advanced Studies Program. His mentors, Saul David Raye, Sue Elkind, Anthony Benenati, and Naime Jezzeny, who introduced Joe to John Friend and Anusara, continue to bless and inspire his yoga practice and life with wisdom, knowledge, and joy which he in turn hopes to share with you.

Sammy Bliss

While the past 10 years as an actor/producer has seen Sammy on such shows as Seinfeld, Profiler and The District, his love for bodywork and touch therapy has pulled him further and further into the world of therapeutic healing. Having originally studied Shiatsu-Anma therapy at the Shiatsu Massage School of California, Sammy continued to expand his knowledge at the Institute of Psycho Structural Balance. With 650 certified training hours, Sammy has developed his signature "Bliss Therapy" massage which is a fusion of Shiatsu, circulatory, deep tissue, reflexology and what he refers to as intuitive massage.

Sammy believes strongly in the relationship between physical exertion and optimum health. He regularly studies yoga, he has a blue belt in Japanese style katabami Ju-Jitsu, he ran the Honolulu marathon in December 2001 and is currently studying the art of Trapeze. With a strong belief that our bodies are fully capable of being in a state of homeostasis, ultimate health and well-being, Sammy does not consider himself a "healer" as much as a "helper" in finding the body's own unique way of healing itself.

Vince Virzi
Tribute to a Friend

Vince Virzi, a friend, teacher, mentor, and massage therapist colleague was tragically taken from us this past spring. Vince was a very special person, knowledgeable and wise beyond his young 34 years. He taught all of us what it means to be a holistic healer, often saying that as bodyworkers we do not 'heal' people but help others to heal themselves through our love and compassion. We feel very thankful and blessed that our paths crossed, and we had the honor of befriending and working with Vince. May his kind, generous, caring, loving spirit be passed onto the many students, clients, and people he worked with, taught and mentored. May he always remain in our hearts while he returns to the one heart that holds us all. Vince, we all LOVE you and will miss you greatly.

~Namaste
